On the third week of my stay, my dear friend came to visit for 5 days. Her trip to Italy was very spontaneous, so we had to do a few spontaneous trips of course. We decided to go to Milan since we are both studying fashion and Milan is such a dream city for both of us.
Kolmannella viikolla hyvä ystäväni tuli luokseni 5 päiväksi. Hänen matkansa Italiaan oli hyvin spontaani, joten olihan meidän pakko tehdä muutama spontaani reissu toiseen kaupunkiin. Päätimme lähteä Milanoon, sillä olemme molemmat muotiassistentti opiskelijoita ja haaveilemme molemmat Milanosta.
Our trip to Milan started early in the morning on May 10th. Once we got there, I had to have my morning cappuccino. The day was rainy in Modena so we were a bit concerned that it would be raining in Milan. Luckily when we got to Milan it was only gloomy and a bit chilly. We had quite a tight schedule since our train was half an hour late and we had tickets to Armani/Silos Museum for two o’clock.
Matkamme Milanoon alkoi aikaisin aamulla 10.5. Saavuttuamme juna-asemalle minun oli ehdottomasti saatava cappuccino. Modenassa oli sateinen päivä, joten olimme hieman huolissamme, että Milanossa sataisi myös. Saavuttuamme Milanoon onneksemme ei satanut, mutta oli pilvistä ja hieman viileä. Meillä oli tiukka aikataulu, koska junamme oli ollut puoli tuntia myöhässä ja meillä oli liput Armani/Silos museoon kello kahdeksi.
Before going there, I had to see the Rick Owens store since I am a huge Rick fan. The store was gorgeous, and I finally got to see my dream shoes up close. They were just breathtaking. That was no question my highlight of the day.
Ennen tätä minun oli pakko päästä Rick Owens liikkeeseen, sillä olen valtava Rick fani. Liike oli mielettömän upea ja näin vihdoin unelma kenkäni läheltä. Kengät olivat henkeä salpaavat. Se oli ehdottomasti päiväni kohokohta.
After a while of walking around and dreaming about living in Milan, we decided to take a taxi to the museum because we were running late. We got to the Museum just in time. The exhibition was beautiful and very empowering. The architecture of the museum was just so otherworldly. I could have stayed there forever.
Käveltyämme ympäriinsä ja unelmoituamme Milanossa asumisesta päätimme ottaa taksin museoon sillä, olimme aikataulusta hieman jäljessä. Pääsimme perille juuri ajallaan. Näyttely oli todella upea ja hyvin voimaannuttava. Museon arkkitehtuuri oli mieletön. Olisin voinut jäädä sinne.
We were a bit hungry, so we went to have a little snack. Once we were done eating, we walked around the center and went to do some shopping until it was time to head back to Modena.
Nälkä alkoi tulla pikkuhiljaa, joten päätimme käydä nopeasti hakemassa syötävää. Kun olimme saaneet syötyä, kävelimme ympäriinsä Milanon keskustaa ja kävimme ostoksilla ennen kuin oli aika suunnata takaisin Modenaan.
We got safely back home feeling very relaxed and inspired.
Pääsimme turvallisesti kotiin. Tunsimme olomme hyvin rentoutuneeksi ja inspiroituneeksi.
