To Avezzano Italy! Part 2/3

Well hello there and welcome to the second blog about my stay here in Avezzano Italy. Prepare your eyes for a hefty load of pictures about mother nature AND MORE! in this blog i will write a little about my workplace experience and about one of my second bucket list activities.

Hiking up! Last blog i talked a little about Rome/Vatican city which was my first bucket list wish. Well the other bucket list activity was to climb up a 1200 meter mountain. Two of my roommates decided to join me on this ”nice” walk up a mountain. The walk up was relatively nice until we hit the near peak when the mountainside became HELLISH. The views were amazing and worth every step up this two hour walk. The mountain is a national park and had great travel paths.

Work! As said my workplace is a construction company specializing in renovation at small or large scale. My work was and is to build a 3D model of a house into a architectural software so it can be used in the future for supporting the renovation progress.

Now this is SO much different to what i have been used to because the building is old and extremely unsymmetrical, this means that i had to use mechanics and complex strategies to build this house. Now of course the building is in many other ways different to Finnish houses. For an example in Finland we have different layers in a wall so to keep our buildings warm during the winters, IN ITALY THEY HAVE ONLY TWO LAYERS. One is bricks and the other is concrete…

Even with these small differences i like a challenge and i can proudly say i have learnt something here!
